Where We’ve Been

The organizational path to our current AutoExpertz establishment wasn’t direct or easy, but our journey has been well worth it. Through multiple generations, we’ve worked well together as a family and provided our community with high-quality, necessary transportation services. Patriarch Santiago Gonzalez started a body shop in Cuba in the 1950s, but the political unrest in 1963 resulted in his establishment being taken from him. Determined to continue his profession through free enterprise, Santiago started over in the United States, favoring the warmer Florida climate to his original venture in New Jersey. He and his son Robert founded Gonz Body Shop in 1979. Driven by client demands, Bobby and Robert propelled into the realm of mechanical work, leading to the establishment of the name AutoExpertz Tire and Service. Bobby, from yet another generation, joined and co-founded AutoExpertz with Robert. The updated and shortened name gives a nod to the quick, reliable service you’ll get for your vehicle regardless of how old or modern.
